The conference in Budapest presented digital solutions based on the CargoWise platform, which allows to integrate transport and logistics companies around the world, the services of which are already used by several members of the WFA network. Within the framework of the conference, attention was paid to the industry trends that are consonant with all countries on all continents:
- digital transformation of logistics (requires market participants to introduce new technologies);
- the emergence and active development of online platforms and marketplaces (contributes to lower prices for market services and requires increased competitiveness);
- changing competitive environment (sea lines service providers and airlines provide direct service to cargo owners);
- M&A trend in the market (consolidation of logistics players and "squeezing" of small companies from the market);
- the new job market (other skills, needs, abilities of the new generation of the era of the developed Internet).
Miroslav Zolotarev, ACEX Russia: "It is noteworthy that WFA is the only global network that unites global network logistics companies. More than half of the organization members represent companies with their own offices in several countries. Some companies are represented in 20 or more countries, many have more than 1,000 employees and a turnover of over 1 billion euros per year. Cooperation of such companies, building strong ties between them, combining services contribute to the effective development of logistics processes, exchange of experience at a higher level. ACEX also represents in the WFA not only a country and an office, but all Russian partners of the ACEX Alliance and its own representative offices in the Baltic States and now in Finland. This year's conference announced the establishment of a partnership between the WFA Association and the Worldwide Alliance group, a worldwide network of marine groupage cargo operators. Many companies in the Worldwide Alliance group are familiar with ACEX and we have already established partnerships with them."
Nikita Kovalevsky, ACEX Finland: "The World Freight Alliance Conference is an excellent platform for discussing the actual tasks of each company at the global level with the participation of the firsts in the world logistics companies".
